As one might have expected, J.W. Anderson placed a strong emphasis on colour, prints and patterns for his SS16 collection. The Irish born designer, celebrated for his androgynous aesthetic, never failed to dazzle his guests as he presented a spectacular creation of looks.
While Balenciaga’s influence on the designer is profoundly evident for SS16, Anderson draws inspiration from the French-owned fashion house and reworks patterns to create his own distinctive style.
Alongside looks that embodied colour palettes of black mixed with white and aqua, sensual leather basque’s – in the designer’s subversive signature, and toffee coloured trouser suits with oversized arms gave way to dashes of lace which were juxtaposed with chunky metallic necklace’s.
One of the standout looks from a personal point of view was Anderson’s black mod-inspired trouser suit, cut to precision with long pointed collars.
